Lorain County Urban County CDBG designation

Lorain County's population growth makes it eligible to receive CDBG money directly from HUD instead of through the state, potentially tripling or quadrupling available funds for streets, water lines, senior services and home repairs. The catch: county commissioners control how the money is divided, and many residents deeply distrust them. North Ridgeville must decide by August 10 whether to opt in.
